- 800 x 600 will work, but some procedures work better at the higher resolution
Web browser and viewing recommendations
- STIS requires Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 (or 6)
- Earlier versions of Internet Explorer are not supported
- Netscape, AOL, or other browsers are not supported
- STIS requires Acrobat Reader version 5 or later
- To download the latest version of Acrobat Reader, click here
- If you already have Acrobat 3 loaded, you must uninstall it first before installing version 5. (See special instructions for loading Acrobat Reader below)

Cookies

- On the top menu bar, click Tools; then click Internet Options.
- Click the Security tab.
- Select the "Internet" icon where it says "Select a web content zone to specify its security settings.
- Make sure the security level is set to Medium, Medium-low, or Low. The High security level does not allow cookies.
If you have selected the Custom security level, click on the Custom Level button and scroll down to where it says Cookies. "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" should be enabled. Click OK.
